Why Cherry Stone?

My mother was a phenomenal homemaker. She was the master in the kitchen, she kept a beautiful home, she made special occasions & holidays even more memorable.

She taught me to cook, bake, iron my dad’s handkerchiefs & shirts, clean house with all the special tips, sort laundry, take a hostess gift, write thanks you, plan birthdays and dinner parties, wedding and baby showers and a trillion other things I use every day in life. I’m so grateful.

Cherry Stone was the street where we lived. The place where I watched my beautiful Mother work her magic and teach me a lifetime of knowledge.

Lots of love and learning took place on Cherry Stone Street, so I thought it only apropos to remember her in this way.

What’s this all about?

Just envision me wearing my “Bring Back Home Economics!” sandwich board & ringing my bell! That should sum it up for you pretty good!

I am old fashioned. It is who I am to my very core! A Christian, mom, teacher, homemaker, cake baker, cook, gardener, photographer and more!

It brings me pure joy to teach my students life skills! It brings me equally as much joy to bake and sell my homemade southern cakes!

I make homemade southern cakes with meticulous attention details with well thought out and quality ingredients!

I also offer a variety of classes for kids of all ages that include baking, cooking, flower care, flower arranging, gardening tips, homemaking and more!

We learn kitchen safety, how to use small appliances, measurement, why ingredients have certain roles, how fresh ingredients makes a world of difference and so much more! Right down to the cleanup!
